Social Responsibility 

O’Eclat Designs is a socially-conscious Nigerian Brand designing premium leather and indigenous fabric handbags and accessories, handmade in Lagos, Nigeria.  

We own a workspace in Lagos, Nigeria, where we manufacture all of our handbags. We work directly with skilled artisans to produce all of our handbags and pay them good wages and provide accommodation. Working with local artisans not only enable us to preserve our traditional leather, batik and aso oke making techniques but also allow us to work closely with them, to ensure the quality of every item produced and also keep to the brand philosophy of producing in very limited quantities to allow for a perfect uniqueness and individuality with key attention to details. 

At O’Eclat Designs Co. we strongly believe together we can do so much and the power to give back at any scale should be commended. 

Our creative head, Gbemi Johnson, recently launched a Bag-to-School project, an initiative that provides school bags to underprivileged pupils living in rural areas within the country. For every handbag sold, we have been able to provide over 1000bags since the project was launched.
